    Drinking water...

Hello Dr. Demaro!Question for you... While a client is receiving their footbath treatment, is it necessary for them to be drinking water or anything else?  How about before or after the treatment?  I have been giving my clients a glass of Reverse Osmosis water during their treatment but sometimes, they don't want it.

Mainly, the reason I am concerned is, my brother's good friend gets detox footbath's done from a different practitioner and she has told him it is imperative for clients to drink a 'specific' type of water during their treatments because something about the detox depleats their electrolytes so they need to be drinking in order to rebuild what is being lost?  I don't know but something about electrolytes?!!  My brother keeps bugging me that I am supposed to be doing something for my clients because of what this practitioner has told his friend.  And me being new to doing the detox treatments I think he thinks I don't know what I'm doing? However, I took the Clear Horizons training and Pat never mentioned anything about electrolytes.

Can you help me understand how I should proceed with water (before/after or during detox) or is there something else I should give my clients?

    Thank you!

    Re: Drinking water...

     Hi Annamarie,

It is not necessary to drink water during your ionic foot bath but you must replace electrolytes after your cleanse. Please drink plenty of water for the next 24 hours because you will continue your detoxification for 24 - 36 hours. Also it a good idea to be well hydrated before your cleanse.

              Thank you, Tom
